Yoga is nothing if it is not perfect harmony of the body, senses, mind and intellect, reason, consciousness and self. When all these are integrated that is true yoga.

– B.K.S. Iengar

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website.

Are you looking to find out more about Iyengar yoga? Have you had a break from yoga and are now at a point where you at last have more time for yourself? Do you already practise Iyengar yoga but are still looking for a place where you can focus your whole attention and energy on your Iyengar yoga praxis? Are you interested in Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and/or the Science of Ayurveda?

Are you suffering from physical ailments, constant or recurring tension and pain, and are yearning for relief?

Do you wish to turn your life around on all levels or only just wish to reduce your physical discomfort? Are you looking for a new yoga challenge, for inspiration to improve your yoga practise,  to enhance and re-align your daily life?

Then you have come to just the right  place!

I have been practising Iyengar yoga for more than 20 years and I love to share my experience!

I live in the beautiful village of Arlesheim, in Switzerland with my husband and three children. When I am not busy with cooking for my family or overseeing and helping with my children’s homework, then I practise Iyengar yoga and Pranayama or I submerge myself in the world of the Indian philosophers, the science of Ayurvedic, the applied anatomy and physiology… my research drive and my desire to learn is not to be curbed.

I am also very interested in Health Pyschology.

The regular, daily collaberative effort with my participants and the practical experience I am allowed to accumulate through them, always inspires me new.

My yoga lessons sometimes take place in a hybrid way, firstly because I am bilingual owing to my being born British. I grew up in Germany and moved to Switzerland in 2006 where I still live today. Secondly, in the current time, I have also enabled attendees who don’t wish to, or who are unable to physically attend, to join the lessons online as well.

Yoga is my passion. The right balance of exercises taken from Asanas, Pranayama, and meditation is a never ending source of energy, strength, endurance, and joy for me that I can pass on and from which my family, friends, and students benefit.

Since 2008, I have been mainly teaching Iyengar yoga, Pranayama, and meditation. I attended an instructor course in 2007 which I graduated from successfully with a diploma that certified me as an Iyengar yoga teacher.

In the following years 2014, 2017, and 2019 I took and passed three further examinations along the Iyengar yoga path: Junior Intermediate 1, Junior Intermediate 2, and Junior Intermediate 3.

My continuing further education with highly experienced Iyengar-yoga teachers within Europe and also abroad, my own personal daily practice, and the ever increasing teaching experience, enables me to guarantee the high quality of my lessons.

Completely convinced of the effectiveness of yoga, I teach with joy, dedication, and passion. I continue to take part in additional trainings throughout the year in Europe and abroad.

A further passion of mine is the unique world of Ayurveda which compliments yoga wonderfully. Since October 2016, I have been studying to become an Ayurveda Health Advisor / Health Therapist. Ayurveda and yoga are inseperably linked to each other. Both focus on the health maintenance of the body, mind, and soul.

Hence each and every yoga practise contains a therapeutic approach in its core. This basic idea and many years of experience with my students has led me deeper into the subject of yoga therapy.

I am a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and am also regularly engaged in furthering my education and qualifications in the field of yoga therapy.

In 2022 I have began studying health pyschology (Bachelor of science).

Health pyschology tries to establish where behaviour which promotes health or adversely affects it stems from, and in which relationship it has to certain beliefs with regard to health and sickness. Only then can an individual behaviour be identified.

Personally, me studying / the study of Health Pyschology completes my expectations of an holistic approach.
