Due to the close anatomical and functional connections between the shoulder and cervical spine, disorders in the shoulder girdle can also lead to neck problems or, conversely, problems in the cervical spine can be projected onto the shoulder.
The shoulder is a complex system and is therefore prone to incorrect posture, tension and pain. In accordance with their difficult tasks, the anatomical structures of the cervical spine are also particularly complex. Intervertebral discs, vertebral bodies, nerves, fascia and the muscular system must be finely tuned to work properly.
In this Iyengar Yoga Sunday Workshop you will learn how to adjust your asana practice to prevent pain and tension in the shoulders, neck and cervical spine – especially in the inversion poses.
We will practice postures, asanas to release tension, with precise alignment – we stretch and strengthen.
This Sunday workshop will also provide you with some new impulses for your own Iyengar Yoga practice at home.
